Conference on Thailand Investment opportunities in the European Union
On 27 March 2014, Thai Embassy to the EU in partnership with the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a conference on the topic of Thailand Investment opportunities in the European Union at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok at 08:00 to 17:00 am, with both public and private of about 150 people attended inlcuidng H.E. Nopabol Gunavibool, Thai Ambassador to the European Union presided at the opening ceremony and Director General Mr.Saran Charoensuwan of European Affairs Department, M.R. Pongsvas Svasti, Former Minister of Industry, Ambassador of Greece to Thailand, Ambassador of Germany to Thailand and the Ambassador of France to Thailand attended the opening ceremony.
The conference aims to provide the knowledge, understanding and promoting opportunities for businesses and investors between Thailand and Europe with the relevant authorities of 11 EU member states participated as a speakers to provide information about the policy and measures to promote investments to EU Member States to business representatives from various sectors such as agriculture and food also shared the experience to invest in the EU S.Khonkaen and CEO of KC Fresh, Thai Smart Life and its related entities. In addition, the governmen also provided information on measures to strengthen and encourage investors to invest in foreign countries.
Furthermore, to enhance the ability to compete and push the business opportunity for trade and investment between Thailand and Europe, this meeting also took the opportunity to launch the “Thai-European Business Dialogue”, which was based on the intention of the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
