The TEBA & EABC meeting with the EU Delegation will take place on January 30th, 2019 from 10.00am – 12.00pm at the European Union Delegation, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok

The meeting with the EU delegation is for TEBA and EABC to greet the delegation for the New year as well as share the progress, insights for future trends, and recommendations that our members might have regarding the Automotive Industry in Thailand.

1) Introduction of new TEBA president
2) Greeting for New Year
3) Standards and conformity assessment

  • Mandatory standards for tyres
  • Fuel emission standards
  • Cooperation with Thai authorities in these areas (FPI Project ”Enhanced market access through the uptake of open standards in the railway and automotive sectors”)

4) Taxation and investment incentives

  • Excise tax implementation (point of taxation/MRSP)
  • Incentives and conditions for promoting new and cleaner technology (HEV, Plug-in HEV and EV as well as battery)
  • Customs issues (customs procedures and valuation)

5) Labour/skills
6) Messages to be conveyed to the Thai authorities
