The European Aerospace Committee (EAC), joint Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) / Thai European Business Association initiative, held its 3rd session of the year on July 5 GISTDA (Geo-informatics and Space Technology Development Agency) SPACE INSPIRIUM.
This time the focus was on Space activities, where Europe and Thailand have built a strong partnership over the past 40 years around Ground Stations (Sweden, Spain, France), Observation Satellites (France and UK) and Data processing & applications (Germany, Italy, France).
Mr. Pierre Jaffre, Chairman of EAC, and Mr. Stefan Molnar (MBA), Co-Chairman of EAC would like particularly to thank Dr. Danuch Tanthetthit, Vice Minister for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Khun Phee Choosri, Deputy Executive Director of GISTDA for attending our event and for exchanging with us on Thailand Space Strategy and Policy. Thanks also to thank Dr. Natthawat Hongkanjanakul, Director of the Office of Space Technology Development, GISTDA & his team for preparing this very informative and impressive visit.
The event allowed our members to measure and to see Thailand excellence in Space technologies and to discuss how the EU/Thailand successful cooperation could further develop.
As usual, we got a tremendous support from EU Delegation and from EU Countries Embassies in Bangkok with the presence of Mrs. Laure Brachet, Delegation of the European Union (EUD), Ms. Nutrada Siriarkalarp, Embassy of the Czech Republic and Mr. Florent Dauba, Embassy of France. Czech Republic is currently chairing the Council of the European Union.
