Farewell to our board member

Yesterday (February 11th, 2021), TEBA held a farewell lunch party for former TEBA Board Member, Mr. Athiwat Apichote. We all enjoyed your association and have learnt a lot from you. TEBA & EABC Automotive WG with EU Delegation

Earlier today on January 27th, TEBA & EABC Automotive Working Group had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Mr.Petros Sourmelis, Head of Trade and Economic Affairs and delegates from the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand, and discussed current issues of automotive sector, investment incentives, and various customs issues and their progress including the EU-Thailand Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). The meeting was attended by companies such as BMW, Continental, Access Europe, Mercedes Benz, Michelin, TUV Rheinland and Robert Bosch etc.

Round Table – Automotive Industry

On 25th November 2020, Thai-European Business Association was delighted to be working with the BOI Paris and Baden-Württemberg International for its latest webinar “the roundtable session – automotive industry”. Our President, Mr. Stefan Heuer delivered an insight session to participants, presenting and sharing his perspectives on roadmap to the next generation of automotive industry in Thailand.

The DTN’s Meeting

On 13th November 2020, Thai-European Business Association was invited to attend in a focus group meeting of the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTNs), Ministry of Commerce. The meeting focused on the effects of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) between Thailand and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) including the benefits for the overall Thai economy.

On 25th September 2020, Thai-European Business Association held an exclusive workshop for our members under the topic of the future mobility at Continental. The workshop was attended by companies from BMW, Bosch, Continental, Mercedes Benz, P.C.S. Machine Group, TUV Rheinland, Schaeffler and ZF.

The Business Talk

On 25th August, Thai-European Business Association has successfully organized A Game Changing: Key Challenges in Encouraging Economics Return to Thailand. The business talk was attended by companies such as BMW, Bosch, Continental, Ducati,Fronius, Michelin, Mercidedes Benz, Schaeffler, TUV Rheinland, Skywave technologies etc. This event provided useful information, thanks to our brilliant speaker, Mr. Prinn Panitchpakdi, Deputy Leader and Head of Economic Team, Democrat Party.

2020 Annual General Meeting

On 25th August, the 2020 Annual General Meeting of Thai-European Business Association took place at Solitaire Bangkok Hotel Sukhumvit 11 . The General Meeting has approved some important contents such as annual audit representation letter, financial report, annual review of membership and activities and TEBA direction in 2020/2021. Moreover, the AGM has also elected two new TEBA Board Members: Ms. Yupin Boonsirichan, General Manager, Corporate & External Affairs of Mercedes Benz and Mr. Ron Sirivanasandha, Manager, Customs and International Trade of BMW. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for attending the 2020 AGM as well as the proxy form submitted.

An Internal Meeting with TISI

On August 10th, Thai-European Business Association held an internal meeting with the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Thana Alapach of the TISI with main discussions focus on diesel sulfur content impact on Euro VI vehicles. The meeting was attended by companies such as BMW, Bosch, Continental, Michelin, Mercidedes Benz, Schaeffler and Umicore.

Questionnaire On Responsible Business In Automotive Industry & Suppliers

Dear TEBA & EABC Joint Automotive Working Group, We would like to share the questionnaire on responsible business, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC). The questionnaire objectives are to understand the level of knowledge and practices on responsible business, to assess awareness and implementation of  responsible business practices as well as to identify training needs of a particular target group.
