On 5th July, the European Aerospace Committee (EAC) – a joint Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) / Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) initiative held the EAC: Defense Focus Group Hybrid Meeting. The meeting was fruitful discussion especially on the open discussion, information exchange and common interest shared by EAC members & Non-member. EU and Thailand Relaunch Trade Negotiations
The European Union and Thailand have announced the restart of negotiations for a balanced and sustainable free trade agreement. This will strengthen the EU’s engagement with Southeast Asia, with the aim of boosting trade and investment by addressing market access, intellectual property rights, digital trade, and sustainable development. Despite the existing well-established trade relations, the EU is under-represented in innovative sectors in Thailand, providing potential for more business and investment opportunities. The EU and Thailand aim to hold the first round of negotiations soon, and a Sustainability Impact Assessment will be conducted to evaluate the potential impacts of the agreement. On 28th February, Thai-European Business Association Supply Chain Management Committee, led by Mr. Tom Cachet, visited the Thai Customs Department to conduct technical sessions on the topics of Import Licensing and Customs Valuation. Supply Chain Management Committee (SCM) 2023 Kick-Off Meeting
On 15 February 2023, TEBA held its Supply Chain Management Committee (SCM) 2023 Kick-Off Meeting virtually through MS Teams. The event took place from 16.30-17.30 hrs. (TH) and was open to all interested individuals who registered through the provided link. During the meeting, the SCM Committee discussed several important topics, including engaging in Technical Working Sessions with Thai Customs on selected issues, advocating for Free Trade Agreements, promoting sustainability in the supply chain, and considering other topics related to Supply Chain Management brought up by Members.
