The 2019-2020 European Business Position Paper
On November 29th, 2019 Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) attended the official launch event of the 2019-2020 European Business Position Paper: Trade and Investment Issues and Recommendations in Support of a Competitive Economy in Thailand. The event was presided by H.E. Mr. Prinkka Tapiola, Ambassador Delegation of the European Union to Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Sansern Samalapa, Vice Minister of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce. The European Business Position Paper is the unified work of EABC’s twelve working groups contributing to the improvement of European-Thai economic relations, trade and investment and covering a board range of industries.
THE 1st INTERNATIONAL AIR RAIL TRANSPORT SUMMIT 2019
On 20th November 2019, Thai-European Business Association attended in the opening event of the 1st INTERNATIONAL AIR RAIL TRANSPORT SUMMIT 2019. The event was also joined by Thailand’s Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Italian Embassy to Thailand, as well as supported by organisations such as the Railways of Thailand (SRT), Mass Rapid Transit Authority Thailand (MRTA), Thailand’s Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and planning (OTP), Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA), the Italian-Thai Chamber of Commerce (TICC), the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) etc.

On October 30th, 2019, Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) had the opportunity to meet with Deputy Director-General, Mr. Aditad Vasinonta of the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE), Ministry of Industry with main discussions focus on the ASEAN Automotive Products MRA Acceleration, Automotive Trade Opportunities in ASEAN, EU-Thailand FTA Negotiations, Emission Standard and Road safety. The meeting was attended by companies such as BMW, Michelin, Robert Bosch, Triumph Motorcycles, TUV Rheinland, and Schaeffler Manufacturing.

On October 8th 2019, Thai – European Business Association (TEBA) held the Exclusive Dinner Talk with Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN), Ministry of Commerce at Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21. Members of TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Director-General, Ms.Kejpiroon Kohsuwan of the DTN with main discussion focus on the future Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in the coming years. On August 9th, 2019 Introduce new requirement AIAG – VDA FMEA manual has successfully taken place at Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) Office. On March 21st, 2019, Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) with WHA Industrial Development PLC, Italian Aerospace Network (IAN), Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) organized the workshop “2019 Workshop & B2B on Thailand Path to Aerospace”, at Pattana Golf and Sport Resort, Chonburi. Ms. Siyaphas Chantachairoj, Director – Corporate Marketing, WHA Corporation PCL, welcomed the participants who were given exposure in the aviation and aerospace markets, trend and opportunities in the Thai aerospace industry.

On March 14th, 2019, Thai-European Business Association held the Annual General Meeting and Exclusive Dinner Talk with the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) at Pullman Grande Bangkok Sukhumvit from 16.00 – 20.00 hrs. Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Thana Alapach of the TISI with main discussions focus on TISI’s policies and their future national strategy for standardization. Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Chokedee Kaewsang of the BOI with main discussions focus on BOI’s incentives for investments and their future strategy for Electric Vehicle (EV) and the the Automotive Industry. TEBA-PCD meeting
On March 11th, TEBA together with EABC Automotive Working Group have participated in the consulting meeting with PCD Director-General, Pralong Damrongthai on solution on PM2.5 and Euro 5 Regulations. The meeting was attended by companies such as Bosch, Continental, CNH Industrial Services, DHL Supply Chain, Michelin, ThaiGerTec, Umicore Autocat and TUV Rheinland.
TEBA-EVAT meeting
Thai-European Business Association held internal meeting with the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) on March 1st, 2019 from 15.00 – 17.00 hrs. Members of the TEBA had an open discussion and information sharing meeting with President, Dr. Yossapong Laoonual of the EVAT with main discussions regarding electric vehicle (EV) roadmap and framework including the development of the automotive industry. The meeting was attended by companies such as Bosch, Continental, Mercedes Benz, Michelin, P.C.S Holding, TUV Rheinland and Schaeffler.
TEBA receives the official certification of participation and collaboration from the Department of Land Transport (DLT)
On March 11th, Thai-European Business Association was invited in attend the press conference and was received certificate of participation from the Department of Land Transport under the department’s Road Safety campaign. Director-General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Kamol Buranapong has launched Road Safety Campaign ahead of Songkran who spoke that the DLT is ensuring the preparedness of facilities, promoting road safety practices during the upcoming Songkran holidays.
